Hamlin Earns Pole For Charlotte ROVAL

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Denny Hamlin will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag Sunday during the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.

Hamlin, who has already punched his ticket into the next round of the Cup Series playoffs, secured the pole based on his qualifying metric score following Monday’s race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

LINEUP: Bank of America ROVAL 400

Brad Keselowski, who finished second Monday at Talladega, will start second alongside Hamlin. Joey Logano, Christopher Bell and Martin Truex Jr. will start third through fifth.

Ryan Blaney, the winner of the inaugural ROVAL winner, starts sixth. Kevin Harvick will start seventh ahead of two-time and defending ROVAL winner Chase Elliott in eighth. Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson complete the top-10 starters.

Bubba Wallace, the winner of Monday’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega, starts 15th. A.J. Allmendinger, the winner of the most recent road course event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, starts 33rd.
