Front Row Suspensions Upheld; Interim Crew Chief Named

The National Motorsports Appeals Panel upheld the penalties leveled against Front Row Motorsports No. 38 team for safety violations.

Crew chief Seth Barbour and crew members Jourdan Osinskie and Tanner Andrews appealed the suspension penalties handed down after the car, driven by Todd Gilliland, lost a wheel during the NASCAR Cup Series event at California’s Auto Club Speedway earlier this season. A three-member appeals panel upheld that the three crew members violated Section 10.5.2.6 (Safety Penalties and Penalty Options) in the NASCAR rule book.

Front Row Motorsports issued a statement Thursday morning saying it respects and accepts the decision to uphold the penalty. Team engineer, Troy Raker, will serve as crew chief for the No. 38 for the next four events, and the team will make the required changes to its pit crew.
