Blickensderfer Departing Front Row Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Front Row Motorsports officials announced Friday that crew chief Drew Blickensderfer, who led Michael McDowell to victory in the Daytona 500 last February, is leaving the organization to pursue other options.

Blickensderfer has spent the last three seasons at Front Row Motorsports, where he served as crew chief for McDowell and the No. 34 team. During his NASCAR Cup Series career, Blickensderfer has earned four victories, with two of them coming in the Daytona 500 with McDowell last year and Matt Kenseth in 2009.

“Drew helped lead the No. 34 team to new heights since coming to Front Row Motorsports, highlighted by winning the Daytona 500,” said Front Row Motorsports owner Bob Jenkins. “We are now in the process of securing the next leader in our organization to continue the solid foundation that has been built. That process has begun, and we will move quickly. We wish Drew the best in his next endeavors.”

The team plans to announced McDowell’s new crew chief in the near future.
