Eckes To Start TSport 200 From Pole

After recording a 22.884-second lap (107.918 mph) in qualifying, Christian Eckes will start Friday night’s TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park from pole position.

The McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver will start alongside ThorSport Racing’s Ty Majeski, who was second fastest with a 22.922-second lap (107.739 mph). Majeski will be chasing his first win of the season in his No. 98 Ford, while Eckes is hoping to take a third trip to victory lane in his No. 19 Chevrolet.

“I think we’re okay. The track is going to change a lot tonight. It’s a lot slower than last year. So, we had to make a lot of changes in about 15 minutes, trying to get the balance where we wanted it,” Majeski said.

Regular season champion Corey Heim will start from the second row alongside GMS Racing’s Rajah Caruth.

Carson Hocevar completed the top five in qualifying.

Grant Enfinger, Jake Garcia, Zane Smith, Nick Sanchez and William Sawalich filed into the top 10.

The TSport 200 goes green at 9 p.m. (ET) on Friday night to commence the opening round of the Truck Series Playoffs.
