Green flag for the race is scheduled for 6:42 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

Kansas is the first elimination race of the Truck Series playoffs, which began July 29 at Indianapolis Raceway Park before moving to Richmond Raceway on Aug. 13.

“This is the cutoff race for us and I feel like we’re in a decent spot,” Nemechek told Fox Sports. “So our motto is survive and advance. But, getting the pole here should help us next week on picking pits for Bristol, which is the first race of the next round. Pretty important. We kind of circled this one with the points position that we’re in, not having to worry about it too much.”

A 20 minute practice session was held before qualifying.

Matt Crafton posted the top speed at 173.238 mph. Crafton wound up qualifying eighth.
