The ARCA Menards Series will return for a high-speed romp through the Irish Hills of Michigan when the series visits Michigan International Speedway for the 43rd time on Aug. 16, 2024.
The race will kick off a three-day festival of speed that will include the NASCAR Xfinity Series the following day and culminate with a 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.
The ARCA Menards Series raced at the two-mile D-shaped oval twice in 1980, with races won by Joe Ruttman and Billie Harvey, and then returned in 1990 with Mt. Clemens, Michigan native Tracy Leslie — the 1988 series champion — celebrating in victory lane.
The series has raced at least once per year at the track since, with notable winners including fellow series champions and Michigan natives Bob Keselowski and Tim Steele, Frank Kimmel, Chris Buescher, Brandon Jones, Sheldon Creed, Riley Herbst, Ty Gibbs, Nick Sanchez and reigning series champion Jesse Love.
“Michigan International Speedway has a reputation for being one of the fastest tracks on our schedule, producing some of the most spectacular two- and three-wide racing on our schedule, and 2023 was no exception,” said ARCA president Ron Drager. “There were a season-high 12 lead changes and some of the hardest racing we saw all year long. We look forward to seeing what 2024 will bring.”
