MISANO ADRIATICO, Italy – Fresh off his first MotoGP victory in the last series event, Francesco Bagnaia roared to his second-straight triumph Sunday at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Bagnaia started from the pole and was in control for much of the race, but he had to survive a challenge from championship leader Fabio Quartararo in the final laps of the race.

Behind them Enea Bastianini finished third to secure his maiden MotoGP podium. Marc Marquez finished a distant fourth, with Jack Miller taking fifith aboard his Ducati.
With his second-straight victory, Bagnaia has closed to within 48 points of Quartararo in the title race.
