SuperMotocross Reveals Trio Of Playoff Tracks

The three tracks that will host the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals later this year were revealed during Saturday night’s Daytona Supercross broadcast on NBC.

The first round will take place on Sept. 7 at zMAX Dragway in Concord, N.C. — the only facility returning to the playoff schedule. Round two is set for Texas Motor Speedway on Sept. 14, while the finale will be held at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sept. 21.

Both Texas Motor Speedway and The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are new venues for SuperMotocross, though the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season finale was formerly held at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.

“Last year, we created a completely new off-road motorcycle racing playoff series that combined both disciplines of indoor stadium racing (Supercross) and outdoor motocross racing (Pro Motocross) that was fully embraced by the teams, athletes, industry and fans,” said Dave Prater, Vice President of Supercross, Feld Motor Sports, Inc.

Prater reported that more than 110,000 fans attended the trio of playoff rounds during their inaugural run last season.

“The SuperMotocross World Championship is where the world comes to race,” Prater said.

Haiden Deegan was the inaugural 250 SMX champion in 2023, while Jett Lawrence won the title in the 450 SMX class.

This year, the top 20 athletes in combined Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross points will once again be automatically seeded into the end-of-year SuperMotocross finals.
