Jeremy Martin To Sit Out Remainder Of Supercross Season

ClubMX rider Jeremy Martin will miss the remainder of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season due to complications that arose following a crash earlier in the year.

He was diagnosed with a “mild concussion” after enduring a hard hit at the season opener for the 250SX East class at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich., on Feb. 4. The No. 6 Yamaha rider participated in three rounds of competition following his concussion, with a best finish of fifth at the Birmingham, Ala., event on March 9.

However, ClubMX released an official statement on his current condition on Tuesday morning.

“Jeremy Martin and the team have mutually decided it would be best to sit out the remainder of the 2024 Supercross season for complications from his crash earlier this season. It is not a particularly difficult decision because the health of the rider always takes precedence over anything else,” the team wrote.

Martin’s comments were also included in the release.

“I am incredibly disappointed to have to make this decision, but when it comes to my health and my future, it is the right move. I struggled having to tell the team, but they were completely supportive knowing everything that I have gone through,” Martin said.

Martin is a two-time 250cc class AMA Pro Motocross champion. Of all the things he has accomplished in his career, the Minnesota native has yet to win a Supercross title.
