H.E.P. Motorsports Finalizes SuperMotocross Roster

After leaving the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season with one win to their credit, the H.E.P. Motorsports squad is back for more.

Once again, there will be two teams under the H.E.P. banner in 2024 — the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki and Twisted Tea Suzuki Presented By Progressive Insurance.

German rider Ken Roczen headlines the roster for the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki team. His contract extension with H.E.P. was announced in October. He brought the Suzuki squad its first win during the Indianapolis Supercross and finished third in points during the Supercross season.

He also finished second in the SuperMotocross World Championship at the end of the year.

“I am excited to be back for 2024 with the Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki Team. We have built a great foundation, and I am eager to continue to try and put our Suzuki on the podium,” Roczen said.

Meanwhile, Kyle Chisholm and Shane McElrath will represent the Twisted Tea Suzuki team.

Along with campaigning his No. 11 entry on track last year, Chisholm also worked as a test rider to help develop the RM-Z450. He finished 17th in the SuperMotocross World Championship.

“This will be my second year with the team, and I am pleased with all the progress made in 2023 with the RM-Z450 and with the team as a whole. Everyone worked great together, and we are looking to build on that and be even better in 2024. The team is working extremely hard, and we have such a good starting place, I feel we are going to do great things,” Chisholm said.

Meanwhile, McElrath will campaign the No. 12 Suzuki for H.E.P.

The North Carolina native finished runner-up twice in the 250SX West championship, but has been working to find his groove in the premier class since he bumped up to 450SX in 2021.

“It’s a strong team, a really good group of people with a lot of experience, so I’m looking to apply their wealth of knowledge this year. I think that will do a lot for me and I’m eager to go racing. We’ll see you all in Anaheim,” McElrath said.

Larry Brooks will continue on as the team manager for H.E.P. Motorsports.
