A lack of experience on the high banks of Indiana’s Winchester Speedway didn’t keep Robbie Stanley from displaying his skills during the Rich Vogler Classic at the legendary half-mile track on April 7, 1991.
Stanley took the lead on lap 17 and paced the remainder of the 30-lap event aboard his family’s bright yellow No. 7 machine. He won by nearly half a lap over Donnie Adams.
Stanley was surprised by the victory.
