Kanaan To Retire From IndyCar After Indy 500

Tony Kanaan, the oldest driver in the NTT IndyCar Series, doesn’t like to use the word retirement when it comes to racing.

But the 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner and 2004 IndyCar Series champion confirmed on his social media accounts at 9 a.m. (ET) that the 107th Indianapolis 500 will be his final NTT IndyCar Series race.

Later today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Kanaan and Arrow McLaren will announce the car number and sponsor for the Chevrolet Indy car he will be driving at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for his final IndyCar event.

SPEED SPORT will add more to this story Wednesday afternoon following Kanaan’s sponsor and car number announcement.
