Jim Head Racing Crew Member Killed In Traffic Accident

PLAINFIELD, Ill. – Dylan Cromwell, a crew member for Jim Racing Racing, was killed in a traffic accident Sunday near Plainfield, Ill.

According to a report from WISHTV, the crash took place Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. on I-70. 

Preliminary investigation of the incident indicated that a semi in the eastbound lane lost control in a construction zone, jackknifed and crashed through a concrete barrier. The eastbound semi then struck the Jim Head Racing hauler, which was being driven by Cromwell, head-on. 

Cromwell, 23 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been a crew member for Jim Head Racing since 2018.
