BARBERVILLE, Fla. — With steady rain in Barberville, Fla., along with unsettled weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the evening, World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model, DIRTcar and Volusia Speedway Park officials have decided to cancel Thursday’s portion of Sunshine Nationals.
The decision comes after working closely with Meteorologist Wayne Mahar from Precision Weather Service and monitoring the local weather for the past 24 hours.
In the interest of maintaining current track conditions, this decision will allow officials to provide the best surface possible for competitors on Friday and Saturday.
The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet, along with the Crate Racin’ USA Late Models and 602 Late Models, will continue their high-octane show on Friday, Jan. 19, during Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.
