DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Thaw Brawl slated for this weekend (March 25-26) has been cancelled due to overnight rains and an unfavorable forecast for the weekend.
Officials with the Davenport Speedway and the Mars Racing Series looked for other options and possible make-up dates, however, they were unable to find an available slot for the event.
The Mars Racing Series will now set its eyes on May 13 for the season-opening event at the high banks of the Farmer City Raceway.
The Farmer City 74 will pay $15,000 to win, and on May 14 the series travels to Fairbury Speedway with the $30,000-to-win Spring Nationals.
