Southern Thaw Offering Big Money In Lone Star State

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – Dirt track racing in the Lone Star State will kick off with a bang when B&B Chassis presents the USRA Southern Thaw presented by American Racer — a seven-night, four-track trek through North Texas featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Tuners.

Not only will piles of cash be doled out throttle-mashing early birds, but Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded each night.

As part of the 6th Annual Smackdown at the RPM Speedway in Crandall, the first two nights take place on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12-13, at the quarter-mile bullring.

After spending Sunday in church begging forgiveness for their slide-jobs, racers roll into the Big O Speedway in Ennis on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 15-16, followed by a one-night stand at the 82 Speedway in Petty on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

The B&B Chassis USRA Southern Thaw concludes on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 18-19, at Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls.

Stock Cars will be racing for $1,200 to win each night, Limited Mods grapple for a $1,000 top prize, Factory Stocks fight for $750 to win and Tuners try to take home $200 each night. Factory Stocks will compete for a $2,000 top prize on Saturday at RPM Speedway.
