PHENIX CITY, Ala. – Brandon Overton pocketed a $20,000 prize for winning the National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway Sunday evening.
Overton started on the front row and ran second to early leader Mark Whitener before taking the lead just before halfway in the 100-lap feature.
He led the remainder of the distance despite a valiant effort by Dennis Erb Jr. to run him down. The win was Overton’s 29th of the season.
Randy Weaver crossed the finish line in third, followed by Austin Horton and Whitener.
