New Year’s Bash At Cochran Postponed

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Officials at Cochran Motor Speedway and Crate Racin’ USA have made the decision to postpone the Street Stock World Championship and New Year’s Bash event that was set for Dec. 31-Jan. 2.

“Weather forecasts over the last few days have not improved and have actually pushed the possibility of rain into Saturday as well as heavy rain Thursday and Friday,” said Crate Racin’ USA Series Director Adam Stewart. “Chris Martin and I talked and decided it was best to give everyone ample notice to make alternate plans as the New Year’s holiday falls during the scheduled events.”

Track and series officials are working to find a suitable make-up for the $5,000-to-win Street Stock World Championship and the $10,000-to-win New Year’s Bash that was slated to kick of the inaugural season of the E-Z-GO $100,000 Challenge Series.

“We are looking at schedules and considering events both at other tracks and currently on the schedule for Cochran and the series to try and find a suitable make-up that works for everyone involved,” said Cochran Motor Speedway owner and promoter Chris Martin. “Look for updates regarding potential make-up dates and event announcements through both the track’s social media and website as well as the series’ websites and social accounts in the coming weeks.”
