RINGGOLD, Ga. – Donald McIntosh led 39 of 40 laps to win the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series feature by 5.350 seconds over Sam Seawright at Boyd’s Speedway on Friday.
The $4,000 payday on night one of three in the series’ Labor Day Showdown marked McIntosh’s first with the Iron-Man late models this year.
Jason Croft led the opening circuit before McIntosh took control in turn two on lap two.
Cruz Skinner, Jensen Ford and Jason Croft completed the top five. Â
The next event for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series is Saturday Sept. 4 at Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, Tenn., for a $4,000-to-win main event at the track.
It will also be the track’s first super late model race.
The series then heads to Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Sept. 5 for the 13th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial, which pays $10,044-to-win.
