GAFFNEY, S.C. – Dale McDowell led from start to finish during Sunday’s Southern All Star Series Ginger Owens Memorial March Madness feature at Cherokee Speedway.
McDowell set fast time over the 29-car field, won his heat race and then led every lap of the 60-lap main event to pocket $12,000. The race was slowed by one caution, which came during the initial start.
Michael Brown crossed the line in third, followed by defending race winner Jonathan Davenport, Casey Roberts and Chris Madden.
