Inaugural Illinois Late Model Speedweek Set

AUSTIN, Texas – Following yesterday’s release of next year’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America schedule, more excitement surrounds the late model landscape.

On May 11-14 the Land of Lincoln will host the inaugural FloRacing Illinois Speedweek, a four-race swing beginning that Wednesday at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Ill.

Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway hosts the second night on Thursday, May 12, with each event paying $22,022-to-win and $1,000-to-start.

On Friday, May 13, the action continues at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway with the $15,000-to-win Farmer City 74. The swing closes Saturday, May 14 at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway with the inaugural FALS Spring Shootout, posting a $30,000 winner’s check. 

A point fund worth $22,500 will be awarded to the top five finishers of Illinois Speedweek in the following order: $10,000-$5,000-$3,000-$2,500-$2,000.

Full purses for stops at Farmer City Raceway and Fairbury Speedway are being finalized, with both events sanctioned by the Mid America Racing Series.
