Hoffman Wires Iron-Man Field At Boyd’s

RINGGOLD, Ga. – Nick Hoffman fended off Cole Falloway in traffic to score the $1,200 victory in Friday’s Iron-Man Modified Series Pretty-n-Pink weekend opener at Boyd’s Speedway.

Hoffman earned second win of the season with the tour with a wire-to-wire win in the 20-lap event.

The first of three cautions flew on lap one for a Taylor Cook spin.

Over the next 12 laps, Hoffman and Falloway ran first and second, working in and out of slower traffic until the next caution appeared on lap 13 for fluid on the racing surface.

Hoffman maintained the lead after the restart until the final caution appeared on lap 17 for a stopped Reece Ogle in turn two.

Ricky Arms finished third from the eighth-starting spot. Michael Asberry and Blake Brown completed the top five.

Peyton Harlow, Chris Wilson, Brandon Kinzer, Charlie Mefford and Ken Schrader rounded out the top 10.

The next event for the Iron-Man Modified Series will be at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga., Saturday Oct. 9 for the second and final night of the Pretty-n-Pink Weekend, paying $3,000 to win.
