LINCOLN, Ill. — Having already wrapped up the DIRTcar Summer Nationals championship, Brian Shirley topped off his 2019 Hell Tour effort with a win in the make-up feature event at Lincoln Speedway on Thursday night.
Originally scheduled for June 30 but forced to stop by ways of Mother Nature, the race resumed with 16 laps complete and Shirley held off three previous Summer Nationals champions to collect his seventh Summer Nationals Feature victory.
Brandon Sheppard finished second with Billy Moyer, Bobby Pierce and Frank Heckenast rounding out the top five.
Nick Hoffman won the modified feature.
