TAZEWELL, Tenn. – Michael Chilton rolled to his first Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals victory in the season finale for the series Saturday night at Tazewell Speedway.
Chilton led from start to finish in the 53-lap feature to earn the $10,053 prize while holding off veteran Dale McDowell at the checkered flag.
Zack Mitchell was third, followed by Ross Bailes and Donald McIntosh. McIntosh came from 16th to finish fifth while also locking up the series championship.
