Bruening Tops I-80 Speedway’s Prelude

GREENWOOD, Neb. – Tyler Bruening controlled Wednesday’s Prelude to the Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway, pocketing a $5,300 paycheck.

Bruening led all but two laps during the 40-lap feature to win the Prelude to the Silver Dollar Nationals event for the second-straight season. The race was co-sanctioned by the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series and Hoker Trucking Series.

Tad Pospisil finished second, followed by Justin Kay, Cory Dumpert and Andy Eckrich.

Ben Schaller led two laps during the feature, but he failed to finish after his super late model dumped fluid on the track.

The Silver Dollar Nationals continued on Thursday with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Dirt Track Bank GO 50.
