BATAVIA, Ohio — Excessive rainfall between three and six inches in northeast Ohio has left the grounds at Raceway 7 heavily saturated, forcing track and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials to cancel Friday night’s Great Lakes 50.
Thursday night’s 54th annual Hillbilly Hundred at Tyler County Speedway and Saturday’s 34th annual Pittsburgher at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway are still on as scheduled.
A complete program is scheduled for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tyler County Speedway, culminating in a 100-lap, $30,000-to-win finale. The RUSH Dirt Late Model Series, UMP Modifieds and Hot Mods will also be in action on Thursday, Sept. 29.
On-track racing action will begin at 6:00 p.m. with hot laps for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tyler County Speedway.
Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will close out the weekend with the Pittsburgher on Saturday, Oct. 1. Along with a complete program for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series — highlighted by a 75-lap, $20,000-to-win A-Main — the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series will also be in competition.
The on-track action at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
