FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. — Like a fine wine and a well-aged cheese, roses and valentines and, dirt and racing, officials from the Mississippi Thunder Speedway have announced the creation a perfect pairing.
For the first time in history, race fans will witness the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s together each night during the three-day Dairyland Showdown presented by Dynamic Concrete Resurfacing.
Slated for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 5-7, this first-ever pairing will prove to be a huge early-season must-see event for dirt track racing fans.
To amp up the excitement to the next level, Mississippi Thunder Speedway officials have opened the bank vault with a payout that is sure to have racers in both series salivating at the chance to conquer the big third-mile high-banked dirt oval.
Late model drivers will be battling for $10,000-to-win both Thursday and Friday while craving for a taste of the $30,000-to-win payout on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Outlaw Modified stars and cars of the USMTS will be gunning for $3,000-to-win Thursday, $5,000-to-win Friday and a wallet-stuffing $10,000 haul on Saturday.
