LaFargeville, N.Y. — Due to harsh weather conditions and more unfavorable weather forecasted for the week, the Super DIRTcar Series will postpone the Thunder on the 1000 Islands at Can-Am Speedway. The event will now take place on Wednesday, May 18.
Along with the Super DIRTcar Series, the DIRTcar Pro Stocks Series will also return for the new date.
“Tyler Bartlett and I agreed that the Super DIRTcar Series is such a marquee event on the Can-Am schedule every year that it needed a make-up date,” said Super DIRTcar Series Director Dean Reynolds. “He also mentioned that the response from the Pro Stock teams was through the roof, so we made sure to include them, as well.”
With the postponement of the Can-Am event, the Super DIRTcar Series 2022 championship season will now kickoff at Bridgeport Motorsports Park for the King of the Big Blocks on Tuesday, May 3.
