All Eyes On Port Royal For Speed Showcase 200

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – The eyes of the Northeast dirt modified community are now directed on Port Royal Speedway.

The Speed Palace takes center stage October 15-17, 2020 for the inaugural Speed Showcase 200 weekend headlined by the $53,000-to-win Speed Showcase 200 for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series fueled by Sunoco Modifieds on Oct. 17. The total purse structure for the 200-lap event tops $125,000.

The region’s best modified competitors have set their sights on the 200 weekend, which will be open to fans in the grandstands.

Reserved tickets for the Saturday portion of the Speed Showcase 200 weekend are on sale now by calling the Port Royal Speedway ticket office at 717.527.2303 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Saturday event includes B-Mains for the STSS Modifieds and Crate 602 Sportsman, plus the two main events: the Speed Showcase 50 offering $2,500 to win for the Crate 602 Sportsman and the $53,000-to-win Speed Showcase 200 STSS Modified headliner.

Sections A-G are fully reserved for Saturday. Tickets are $40 each.

Sections H-O are general admission for Saturday. The Thursday and Friday night events are fully general admission with no reserved seating.

In addition to attendance in person, all three days will be streamed live thanks to SPEED SPORT TV affiliate Dirt Track Digest TV.

On Thursday night, Oct. 15, the STSS Modifieds will take part in the Speed Showcase 40-lap event paying $5,000-plus to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag. This Velocita-USA South Region event presented by Design for Vision and Sunglass Central serves as a weekend shakedown and offers valuable points toward the $10,000 South Region title.

Crate 602 Sportsman competitors are invited for practice rounds on Thursday night.

Friday, Oct. 16 is reserved as Qualifying Night. STSS Modifieds take part in 20-lap mini-feature qualifying events, with 15-lap qualifiers are set for Crate 602 Sportsman competitors. Four Cylinders, utilizing Port Royal rules, complete the card.

The aforementioned Saturday, Oct. 17 show includes the B-Mains, Speed Showcase 200 for Modifieds and the Speed Showcase 50 for Crate 602 Sportsman.
